The term ‘underground city’ conjures up images of a futuristic wonderland (ideally involving robotic overlords), something like Metropolis or The Matrix. Turns out Toronto’s subterranean utopia is a little more modest (we were once called Toronto the Good, after all) but still pretty nifty.
The PATH system is a 27km underground network of pedestrian tunnels linking most of downtown’s major sights and attractions. |
